When I bought my first 3D printer, the filament I first used, and continue to use, is Hatchbox. I have not even tried another brand as yet. Other than small samples that may have come with the printers. From my very first print, on default settings, Hatchbox filament was smoother than expected (.02 layer height) and had a nice sheen or gloss to the finished print. Not that my prints stay the color of the filament, but this was nice. I have not experienced clogged nozzles or any other issues while using Hatchbox. My failed prints, my errors. Like numbing the bench and moving the build plate, to other boneheaded things. As far as I am concerned, I will not use another brand of filament.
