CLEANING FILAMENT GUIDE

Below are two effective methods of cleaning your printer using our cleaning filament. Make sure to follow the instructions of the methods below to ensure you properly purge your printer of any residue and debris in your nozzle.

Main method:
FEED THROUGH

  1. Set the printer emperature ~ 5°C-10°C higher than the last filament used.

  2. When hot, steadily feed the cleaning filament through the extruder with gentle consistent pressure.

  3. Continue to extrude until no more debris is mixed in the cleaning filament. Remove filament afterward.

  4. Insert desired printing filament and extrude it to remove remaining debris.

for minor cleanup:
COLD PULL

  1. Set the printer emperature ~ 5°C-10°C higher than the last filament used.

  2. When hot, steadily feed the cleaning filament into the extruder with gentle consistent pressure.

  3. Let the printer cool down to 60°C-70°C, then pull out the cleaning filament from where it was inserted. Repeat as desired.

  4. Insert desired printing filament and extrude it to remove remaining debris.
